Temperatures are expected to drop into the teens, which can increase demand on the electric grid—especially during on-peak hours (6 a.m. – 9 a.m.), when families are getting ready for the day ahead and heating systems are working their hardest.

Here are a few simple ways to help manage energy use and keep costs in check:

✅ Avoid using multiple large appliances during on-peak hours
✅ If you have a programmable thermostat, set it and keep it steady
✅ Use a water heater timer to help limit water heating during on-peak hours
