Programs

Over the years, MCEC has grown and adapted to meet the changing needs of our Member-Owners. The programs we've developed give our Member-Owners added value while helping our community.

Take our voluntary Operation Round Up program. By allowing us to round up your electric bill to the next highest dollar, Member-Owners give us the opportunity to help needy individuals and local charities, such as Lexington Fire Service, Lexington County Children's Shelter, and Lexington County Children's Center. In 2001, 68 percent of our Member-Owners participated in Operation Round up, resulting in contributions to 82 organizations and individuals.
