MCEC Website Gets Facelift
Welcome to the new Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative website! The new site features an abundance of user friendly tools, including weather information, a feature to change text size, and easier to navigate pages. "Our website hasn't had a face lift in several years," says Emily Leaphart, public relations coordinator for Mid-Carolina Electric. "More and more people use the internet as their primary source of information so we wanted to make sure our members could easily pay their bill, find energy saving tips and apply for programs," says Leaphart.
The cooperative by laws have been added so members can access them anytime. Wiring specifications have also been included to assist home builders in assuring they meet requirements when building new homes.
In addition to all the new information, visitors can continue to view some MCEC staples. The current editions of South Carolina Living, Current Word, and the Green Power newsletters are available. Kids Korner is still accessible for teachers and students to do energy activities.
"We hope our members will enjoy the new site and find it user-friendly," says Leaphart.
