2008 Scholarship Winners Announced

Kari Pait of Airport High School and Arjamand Sami of Dutch Fork High School will be representing Mid-Carolina at the 2008 Youth Tour in Washington, DC. Kari and Arjamand, both juniors, were chosen from an outstanding group of applicants to spend a week with other students from cooperatives nationwide. During their week in Washington, they will learn about cooperatives, visit historic sites, and meet with their state legislators. Congratulations to these two exceptional young ladies!

Seven local high school seniors will each receive $1000 towards the college of their choice as winners of the Touchstone Energy Spirit of Cooperation scholarship. The selection process takes into consideration financial need, extracurricular activities, and teacher and community recommendations. These students are shining examples of the spirit of cooperation and we proudly reward them with this scholarship!
