MCEC Lexington County Taxes
As one of the largest taxpayers in Lexington County, Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative (MCEC) paid almost $5 million in taxes in 2006.

MCEC Board Chairman Ken Frick presented a check to Richland County Treasurer David Adams for property taxes totaling almost $648,000.

HR creator retires from MCEC
Linda Spence, Vice President for Human Resources and creator of Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative's (MCEC) HR Department, retired after more than 31 years of service. Spence is replaced by Fred Millen.
Jones retires, taking 50 years of experience with him
In January, Jones retired from Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative, Lexington, SC, after 12 years as vice president of information technology.
