The Power of Human Connections - Half a World Away MCEC is taking part in the nationwide effort to help south Asian victims of the December 26, 2004 tsunami disaster. The co-op is joining with the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association's (NRECA) International Programs to encourage donations by the electric cooperative family. Because the utilities' best expertise is in building electric infrastructure, an NRECA spokesperson says they will offer help in that area for the reconstruction process.
