MCEC IS TAKING PREVENTATIVE MEASURES

Out of concern for the health and safety of MCEC members and employees, we are suspending face to face visits with Member Service Representatives at both our Lexington and Dutch Fork offices. The lobby areas will also be closed, however you may still make payments using our pneumatic drive through tubes. We are encouraging everyone to use the many electronic ways available to pay their electric bills particularly through our member app, SmartHub.

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR CEO

MCEC Cares - Member and Employee Safety Concerning the Coronavirus

At Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative, the safety, health and well-being of our members and employees is our top priority each day. We continue to monitor the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) across the communities we serve and have plans in place to ensure the ongoing operations of your cooperative.

MEMBERS BEWARE!!

We’ve had numerous reports from members who have received calls and visits from individuals claiming to be solar providers in partnership with MCEC. Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative has no such partnerships with any solar vendors.  Please be reminded that MCEC will not try to sell you services nor will we ever ask to enter your home.  We encourage all members to remain diligent and safety-minded.  Please alert your local law enforcement agency and Mid-Carolina Electric of any suspected scam activity.

RIGHT-OF-WAY CLEARING IN YOUR AREA

For the next several weeks, we will be clearing right-of-way in the Pelion area on Fairview, Calks Ferry, Dairyland and Kyzer Mill Roads. In the South Congaree area, crews will be clearing on Edmund Hill, Scenic, Beckman and Princeton Roads.  Lastly, in the Hollywood community on Hollywood, Havirdville, Corinth and Nature Way Roads.

Headed Your Way

We’re on a mission to change the way MCEC members access the internet. That’s why we’ve partnered with CarolinaConnect – a fiber-optic internet service provider – to deliver lightning fast, reliable, more affordable internet service to our members.
