Mid-Carolina 2026 Annual Meeting Recap
Mid-Carolina Electric’s 2026 Annual Meeting highlighted record member participation and reinforced the theme MCEC Ready, a commitment to reliability, preparedness, and community service. Members took part in drive-thru registration and voting, received bill credits and gifts, and were entered into prize drawings, including a truck giveaway. The event celebrated member engagement and the cooperative’s ongoing dedication to serving its communities.

Mid-Carolina Launches New Community Leadership Council
For 85 years, Mid-Carolina Electric has delivered innovations that improve daily life while building strong community connections. Our newest effort, the Community Leadership Council, brings together members ages 30–45 to engage younger residents—many new to the co-op—and highlight the community value of working together. Applications for the 2026 cohort are now closed.
2025 Mid-Carolina Touchstone Energy Scholarship Winners
Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative awarded seven local graduates $4,000 Touchstone Energy Scholarships to support their college journeys. Recognized for academic excellence, leadership, and community service, these students will attend schools across the country. Applications for the 2026 scholarships open in January.
Mid-Carolina 2025 Annual Meeting – Join Us on April 5
We’re excited to announce that our 2025 Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, April 5, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. This year, we’re offering two convenient drive-thru locations for you to register and vote without ever leaving your vehicle. Simply bring your registration card (provided on the cover of your March issue of SC Living magazine), and you’ll receive a small gift and a $25 bill credit automatically applied to your account. Members in line by 7 p.m. will be allowed to register and vote.
